Hi I’m Luisa!
I am a graphic designer with an appreciation of the fine arts, and a passion to create visual representations in the world of commercial advertising. My experience in closely working with clients, designers and agencies, taught me the fundamentals of developing quality design-solutions tailored for each individual project. My career first began as the assistant to the Creative Director at Firefly advertising while attending college in Miami, Florida. The position provided a great opportunity to learn the organizational structure and process behind managing team projects with clients. As the role expanded to Art Director, so did my desire to provide more creative input during the visual arts process.
Upon graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Graphic Design, my appetite to learn and explore new design applications led me to New York City as an in-house Creative Graphic Designer for the Tribecca Performing Arts Center and MZ Berger. The performing arts center exposed me to a multitude of new styles, color schemes and artistic expressions. The corporate world of MZ Berger reinforced the process behind managing product design for high volume commercial merchandise projects. My experience in NYC was invaluable, as it provided a great opportunity to cultivate my abilities and learn how to adapt in a fast paced multi-cultural environment.
After a successful five years in the corporate world, my path to be more directly involved in the creative process brought me to a smaller Italian investment company in Miami, Florida. Currently I am the head of brand and graphic design for MB America, where my creative designs have been applied to several projects such as LUME, Fondazione Filippo Marazzi and Orchid House
I enjoy working on a wide range of projects such as print collateral, promotional materials, identity & brand development, editorial design and packaging. My belief is that all effective design solutions should be approached with positivism, enthusiasm, an acute eye for detail and a great concept.
